What is it?
PhotoImpact International invites you to design a mug for Valentine's Day!
Who are we?
No matter where in the world you're from, what nationality, creed or colour, you are welcome to join PhotoImpact International! We are bound to each other by a common thread, that being our love of digital photography and image-editing software PhotoImpact®.
And why?
The fame! The fortune! The prize!
Prize, you say?
Yes! The winning designer will have his or her design on a mug, just like those you see on this page, donated by PhotoImpact International. Second place is a class at Visual Arts Academy, donated by VAA.
How do I enter?
We thought you'd never ask! Read on:
Guidelines:
- You may submit JPEG, PNG, GIF, or TIFF files.
- The image must be 300 pixels-per-inch and, in pixels, sized 2598 x 960.
- If you fill in the entire image, it will fill the entire usable area on the mug, like Billie's Valentine, Valentine mug, far right on the image at the top of the page. For images smaller than these sizes, you should not fill the full area, but will have additional white space, as in the heart mug in this text. The finished size of the image will still be as above.
- Important Note: for the purposes of the contest, we ask that there be no text on your design that is personal to you. This includes watermarks, your sweetie's name and the like. However, please do keep a second ufo with all that included. When you win, you may opt to have the mug made with your personalized version. We'll talk to you about that before we place the order.
- Submit your image to contest@photoimpact-international.com. Please include in the body of your e-mail the name we call you (or that you wish we did), your PI-I username, and a good e-mail address. Entries must be received by February 13, 2010.
- Voting will begin promptly on Valentine's Day on the east coast of the US and will close promptly one week later. Voting is open to all PI-I'ers; one vote per member for each first place and second. Winners will be notified by personal e-mail and a congratulatory post on the Board.
